There is a major food crisis in Haiti. So many people do not eat for days at a time. Purchasing rice is cheaper than trying to ship.
Upon arriving, we purchase rice immediately. After loading the rice and beans, we begin our journey to the communities.
We separate the rice into individual portions. This makes it easy to distribute. There is never enough rice for everyone.
WEI has sponsored 2 wells and our donations help to maintain all the existing wells too. There are 3 more planned sites for community wells. WEI needs your help in developing fresh, clean drinking water.
